“Let freedom ring” is heard a lot this time of year, as we celebrate the birth of our nation. We also hear “Freedom isn’t free” a lot as well. If it was not for the sacrifice of those who have served, and continure to serve, our country for more than 200 years, we would not be able to enjoy the freedoms that we do today. Thank you does not seem adeqate enough for what we enjoy, but thank you.
Jesus has also paid the ultimate price so we may be free. Free from the grips of sin and slavery to the world. “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36. When I think about how unworthy I am to have been given the gift of eternal life, it’s overwhelming. I hope that as we celebrate our nation’s freedom, we can stop and remember our freedom in Jesus as well, and look forward to eternity with Him. Thank God that there’s “freedom in the blood”!
The Chrysalis Community applied for a Community Grant awarded by Betenbough Homes earlier this year, and I am absolutely thrilled to announce that Chrysalis was awarded a $9000.00 grant to go directly to our scholarship fund! We cannot thank Betenbough enough for their continuing support of Chrysalis and what we’re all about! If you are in contact with anyone associated with Betenbough, please let them know how much we appreciate them and their support!
Donna Burt is still getting things situated for Young Women’s Journey #37 coming up September 3-6. Please continue to lift her and her team in prayer as they start meeting together and gearing up to bless the socks off the young ladies that will be in attendance. Praise God we already have 15 caterpillars signed up and are looking forward to 15 more, so get your applications in and we’ll get your girls signed up!
Again, if you have any questions about anything Chrysalis, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me or any other board member and we will get you answers. I hope you all have a happy and safe 4th of July holiday.
Fly with Christ!
