Kairos Outside is designed to support women twenty years of age and older whose lives have been affected by incarceration. It could be friends or relatives who have been incarcerated in state and federal correctional facilities, as well as county jails and youth offender programs, or their own incarceration. It is important for these women to know that they are not alone and that there is a Christian community that cares.

Women who participate in a KO weekend are called Guests. Guests have the opportunity to share with each other how incarceration if affecting family life. Weekends become a “safe place” where unconditional love and acceptance is given toward encouraging the sharing of one’s life journey. We hope to create opportunities for fostering a relationship with God and spiritual growth, as well as, promote participation in support groups. We are dedicated to women impacted in any way by incarceration.

Kairos Outside is an international ministry, with locations in most states and several foreign countries. There are 10 locations in Texas.

“And all this is from God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Christ, and given us the ministry of reconciliation; namely, God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting their trespasses against them and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. So we are ambassadors for Christ, as if God were appealing through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ to be reconciled to God.”  ~ 2 Corinthians 5:18-20

There are many ways that you may help. For example:

• Share information with potential Guests
• PRAY!
• Provide Agape (snacks & craft items)
• Volunteer as a Day Angel for a few hours
• Provide transportation for Guests
• Help with weekend expenses
• Serve as a Team Member on a weekend
